Event ID 4728 logs whenever an identity (`MemberName` / SID) is added into an Active Directory security-enabled global group. Global groups such as `Domain Admins`, `Enterprise Admins`, and `Schema Admins` grant sweeping network administrative privileges. Unauthorized modifications to these groups indicate severe privilege escalation or persistence.
